here we are at the petting zoo, where jiuqing presumably suggested for them to meet! emet-selch does not exactly look like he is loving this choice of location, but he's found a spot to settle in regardless.]

-well, then. First order of business?

I feel as if we ought to do something to head off the current rumors, myself, lest they all assume us to be capable of more than we are, but doing so shall be... somewhat difficult without giving ourselves away.

... I have one confidant that Shale permitted me. Perhaps I can get them to discreetly push people away from the idea, though that'll be contingent on the theory being brought up again.

Well, at least no one's suggested anything too outrageous. It seems mostly harmless, if a bit awkward.

Ah- on the matter of the refracted. We ought to be keeping an eye out for anyone who may be capable of doing something about them, still, but-- I will be capable of helping to find them, now.

...do you recall the memory Vax'ildan recounted-- of someone being able to see the glow of color within another, and note that something in it was amiss?

This is-- if not precisely how my soul sight works, then highly similar.

I should be able to make use of it once per week, on someone we suspect to be refracting, but... we will need reason to suspect them first. It may need to wait until this has truly taken hold, else I may see nothing.

During our trials or afterward, would be the best use.

I have a suspicion, personally, that there tend to be two of them. That there were then three, last week, when we missed 9S's culprit. I do not think Malik or Percy killed him.

...thus it may still have a use after the fact, whenever there are two killed.

Oh, I am relatively sure we do not. I simply think that their existence meant there were three, in total, over that week.

Emet-Selch, can I ask exactly how your dreams work? To what degree do you select their contents?

I decide the contents, but Bass assisted me in weaving them, at first. I now create them alone and Bass assists in sending them. However, as they are dreams, they do appear to become stranger than intended; for example, I never specified Percy's butterfly would have arms. Your messages come through muffled, when you hear them. Kashuu's ended up strange in interpretation, as well, with-- eyes and teeth in the sunset.

[hm. a little more of that troubled feeling.]

...and Bass can alter them without my knowledge. Your animal was a spider. They dislike them, and so made it a dog with multiple legs-- and I had no idea they had until you recounted the dream.

... I see. Can I ask why the bees in Su's left behind paint and weaved flowers?

I specified that they would leave rainbow flowers, but not which kind. The paint was not my doing.

Overall, it was simply meant to be-- her working in a large garden, filled with both normal plants and some which were animated and more lively. I specified the rainbow bees would gather and impart the message I sent, then leave the flowers.

... I didn't want to confirm anything beforehand lest I give you and Su false hope, since I'm not sure yet if it even works—but I suppose if I kept quiet now, it'd be the same as lying. If you're looking for someone who can cure refraction, it's most likely me.

At the very least, her dream was probably referring to me.
